Echo is also an expertly tuned speaker that can fill any room with 360° immersive sound. When you want to use the Amazon Echo first generation, just say the wake word “Alexa” and Echo responds instantly. If you have more than one Echo or Echo Dot, Alexa responds intelligently from the Echo you’re closest to with ESP (Echo Spatial Perception).

Pros
- This was one of the first real smart speakers that Amazon created and it was revolutionary! It has excellent voice recognition and can easily pair up with other smart products.
- Amazon keeps on bringing new updates to the Alexa’s all around the world which means that even that this model is a bit older, it still gets new features.
- Because it is an older model, it is much cheaper than the newer ones.
Cons
- Because it is an older model, the sound quality isn’t the best. The newer models such as the Amazon Echo 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen do much better in that area.
- The design of the speaker is a bit much. It is a big speaker that doesn’t easily blend in a room. The new Amazon smart speakers again do better in this area.
Conclusion
If you want to buy a first smart speaker that works well and does what it’s supposed to but don’t want to spend too much money on them, then this is a good pick for you. You will receive a smart speaker that has all the smart functions for a reasonable price.
